It’s been a while since you last heard from us…
We’ve now been recruiting for just over a year. More than 650 people have signed up for the study, and we’re working hard to boost recruitment even more. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s given their time (and saliva) to take part in the study, the researchers working with us, the steering group, and our generous funders.

What we’ve done
If you’d like to check out what we’ve been up to the last few months, here’s a brief overview:
We published a perspective article for Nature Reviews Neurology about the diversity problem in MS genetics and why we need to address it.
We took part in a webinar hosted by Asian MS.
We recently wrote a blog post about the study for the MS Society.
We teamed up with the UK MS Register.
We submitted an abstract for the ABN conference 2023
We submitted a paper about the demographic profile of our study.
We completed the genetic analysis of the first 384 participants.

What we’re doing
We’re actively recruiting via our website, collaborating sites across the UK, and the UK MS Register.
We’re analysing more genetic data.
We’re collecting some more information about how MS affects our participants to understand how genetics influences the severity of MS.
We’re gathering ideas about how we can make MS genetics more inclusive with a 15-minute, fully anonymised questionnaire.
